With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy.About the role.What you’ll be doing.The Truck Driver’s primary responsibility is to ensure the timely and safe movement of materials (raw & finished) using McCain owned/leased equipment to include shipments to Americold. Responsibilities also include conducting safety inspections on the tractors and trailers, yard checks, and cleaning of equipment (tractor/trailers). Other responsibilities include working in other areas of the warehouse when not driving.A strong candidate for this role will also be able to work successfully with various moving mechanical parts, food fumes, airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and loud noise levels. This role works on 3rd Shift (10PM-6AM) Monday-Friday.What you’ll need to be successful.
  • 2-4 years of experience, preference given to more experience
  • Class A and B CDL in good standing
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate a radio
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Ability to independently read, comprehend, and communicate in basic English and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to independently carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to analyze data and draw logical conclusions with minimal guidance
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to bend often and lift at least 50 pounds to various heights as needed
  • Ability to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (walkie-rider, forklift, etc.)
