Our client is currently seeking a dynamic Project Manager based in Atlanta, GA. This is a hybrid role. The Project Manager will be responsible for the meticulous planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting of activities pertaining to company services. This role involves participating in the conceptual development of projects and overseeing their organization, scheduling, and implementation. The successful candidate will achieve project objectives by meticulously planning and evaluating project activities.The Project Manager will collaborate closely with internal operations, delivery, engineering, business development, and management teams, as well as the client, to ensure alignment with project objectives and contracted scope of work. Additionally, the Project Manager may be required to represent the company in project meetings and will report to the Senior Project Manager, Project Portfolio Manager, or Director of Project Management.Responsibilities:
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of company policy and contracted work scope specifications.
  • Track, manage, and resolve project issues as they arise throughout the project life cycle.
  • Interpret and elucidate plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
  • Formulate reports by extracting required data from various sources concerning areas such as work progress, costs, and scheduling, for internal and external distribution.
  • Implement and adhere to the project management process and methodology.
  • Collaborate with contract administrators to manage financial aspects of contracts, protecting the company's interests while maintaining positive relationships with customers.
  • Represent the company in customer-facing project meetings and attend strategy sessions.
  • Track and reconcile revenue, cost of goods, accruals, and customer invoices using principles of cost accounting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical field preferred (computer science, mathematics, statistics, business, or related field) along with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience. Experience in the utility or utility services industry management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint (MS Access and MS Visio helpful), and the ability to lead presentations with confidence.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Willingness to work varied hours when necessary to achieve desired results; occasional overnight travel required (20%).
