- Serve as a technical customer liaison, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Develop, modify, and configure train simulation software using C++ for a range of devices.
- Troubleshoot and debug code using Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Lead the hardware and software development and integration phases of projects.
- Participate in device installation, testing, and corrections in collaboration with the team and customers.
- Create software updates and test them before deployment.
- Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers and technicians.
- Engage in maintenance and technology upgrades.
- Recommend ways to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Minimum of 3+ years of C++ work experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Understanding of multi-threaded execution for high-performance applications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in technical engineering and coding in C++.
- Experience guiding complex projects from planning through execution.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and object-oriented programming skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and quickly acquire new skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on experience with hardware integration testing and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in VBA, PHP, JavaScript, Perl, SQL, Python, MFC, QT UI, and batch scripting.
- Knowledge of REST API/Webservice Integration.
- Familiarity with GIS Data.
- Experience with Trello or Kanban boards.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative, resourceful, and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English for oral and written technical communications.
- Experience in modeling and simulation and knowledge of the railway industry are a plus.
- Team leadership experience with a desire to mentor and improve team members.
- Willingness to explore complex systems and existing code bases.
- Understanding of engineering math related to applications (mass, acceleration, friction, force, etc.).
