- Analysis of engineering software, and/or firmware, IAW MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, AOP-52, etc.
- Work with software development teams to review and analyze embedded software code.
- Collaborating with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through deployment to gain concurrence with software builds.
- Assist with Software and/or Firmware analyses.
- Participate in the execution of the Software System Safety Program
- Interfacing with stakeholders (e.g. customers, program offices, subcontractors, vendors)
- Assist with preparation of Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs for Customer Approval
- Assist with software safety technical reviews.
- Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standards
- Collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
- Experience with Computer Science, Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical or Firmware Engineering.
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with DoD System Safety Programs
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to manage a safety program and provide direction to supporting safety personnel
- This role is onsite in Tewksbury, MA.
- Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
