- Assist in the purchasing process by preparing and submitting purchase orders to suppliers.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock to meet demand while avoiding overstock.
- Collaborate with vendors to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate item records, including pricing, descriptions, and specifications in the company’s system.
- Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Support in analyzing inventory trends and providing insights to improve purchasing decisions.
- Assist in coordinating returns, exchanges, or warranty claims with vendors when necessary.
- Communicate with internal teams, such as sales and operations, regarding inventory availability and updates.
- Generate and distribute inventory and purchasing reports as required by management.
- Other duties as assigned by the Purchasing, Inventory, and Item Manager.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or administrative roles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team interactions.
- Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with inventory management or ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica) is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
