Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Shop Helper / Machine Operator Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$17.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems and components
Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves
Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Maintain tight tolerances and ensure high-quality surface finishes
Other duties as assigned

Shop Helper / Machine Operator Qualifications:

Previous experience in hydraulic repair or mechanical maintenance
Prior experience with honing or precision machining a plus
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and use of diagnostic tools
Must be able to lift 75lbs and above repetitively throughout the day

Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
