The company will not provide relocation assistance.A Senior Assistant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Hershey's Chocolate World kitchens. They ensure that the kitchen runs smoothly, maintain food quality, and adhere to safety standards while keeping The Hershey Company guest service standards and brand affinity in mind.The Full-Time Senior Assistant Supervisor of Food Service Production is responsible for maximizing production and supervising the day to day operations of Hershey's Chocolate World (HCW) Hershey's Kitchens area (to include but not limited to: Kitchen and Bakery). The incumbent must be keenly aware of the balance required to support superior customer service and Hershey's Kitchens and food service production and operations. Responsibilities include direct PT Flex-Force employee supervision, zoning, coaching, training, tracking attendance/tardiness, and support performance appraisals. Responsibilities also include making some operational decisions and food display adjustments. The Full-Time Senior Assistant Supervisor of Food Service Production is responsible for maintaining bakery and food operations to standards set by Global Hershey's Food Service Team and food safety and sanitation in all areas. The incumbent participates in weekly Hershey's Food Service staff meetings and provides insight on consumer feedback.Major Duties/Responsibilities:Employee Coaching and Supervision (60%)Through observation and demonstration, effectively coach all part-time flex force food service team members to maximize guest engagementCommunicate to all employees ensuring they are knowledgeable about food initiatives, promotions, marketing initiatives, and complex special events that impact the teamFacilitate employee training including appropriate coaching and counseling where needed and guest service training to ensure employees can provide the best possible serviceConduct pre-shift meetings, check-in employees at start of shift, ensure all are in proper uniform, and ensure breaks are taken in accordance with policy guidelinesFacilitate employee rewards and recognition programs by taking the leadership role and demonstrating best practicesParticipate in Part-Time Flex Force annual performance feedback processFacilitate attendance disciplinary processOperations (20%)Manage inventory to ensure all necessary ingredients are stocked and order supplies as neededPerform quality checks on food leaving the kitchen to ensure it meets guest expectations and department standardsCollaborate with leadership to develop and maintain the restaurant menuEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environmentSupport tracking finances, including food costs and labor, to identify areas of potential wasteInteract with customers to address any concerns or special requestsEnsure efficient day-to-day operations of the Food Hall and Bakery Strive for sales excellence and resultsSupport Food Hall and Bakery locations as neededSupport part-time labor planning for business needsLeader Duties (10%)Responsible for continuously walking the floor to deliver a high-level of consumer engagement and meet sales goals while maintaining and elevating The Hershey Company brand reputationResponsible for ensuring adequate staffing to meet the needs of the business which includes adjusting schedules to ensure appropriate coverage within budgetResponsible for crowd control and queuing at food and bakery locationsMinimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:Strong background in culinary arts and kitchen managementAbility to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesPrecision in managing inventory and ensuring food qualityStrong communication skills to interact with staff and customersAbility to quickly address and resolve issues that arise in the kitchensMust maintain a neat appearance and meet uniform standardsMust be able to walk and stand for 8 hoursMust be able to sit for 2 hoursMust be able to push, pull, carry, and lift 25-50 poundsRequires repetitive motion of the hands, wrists, and forearms.
