Outdoor Escapes and DesignsJob Title: Landscape Construction ForemanJob Functions:
- Manage activities on the job site.
- Effectively and efficiently manage personnel.
- Communicate and coordinate with customers and/or designers to ensure the accurate completion of jobs.
- This position requires working 45 to 60 hours per week from March to November. From December to February, the workload will be 40+ hours per week, and you will be on call for snow removal 24/7 as needed.
- Train and promote the development of subordinates.
- Accurately track and record all job expenses and hours worked.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.
- Communicate regularly with a member of the Management Team.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape construction.
- CDL Certificate Class A within 3 months, with health endorsement and a clean driving record.
- Proficient in operating a wider range of construction-specific equipment beyond medium-weight equipment (e.g., skid steers, excavators, & trenchers).
- Knowledge of landscape turf, perennials, shrubs, evergreens, and trees.
- Obtain an infield certification within one year of accepting the Foreman position.
- Highly motivated and self-driven individual who is detail oriented.
- Strong attention to detail while working in a fun and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which are crucial as the leader of a work crew.
- Good time management skills; availability for seasonal long hours and weekends.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds, including clients, contractors, vendors, designers, and employees.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Must be able to work in rain and extreme temperatures.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 125 pounds; carry materials; bend, twist, kneel, climb, and maintain balance.
- Ability to walk at a brisk pace and work in a kneeling position for extended periods of time.
