POSITION SUMMARY:The position is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all products, subassemblies and material for make and/o buy items in order to meet production plans and/or project deadlines. This position identifies cost reduction / inventory reduction opportunities by working directly with the production department and sourcing, or by identifying alternatives or alternate sources.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Plans and schedules all production material activities for assigned programs keeping in view overall inventory and service goals
Plans and manages subassembly inventory levels
Maintains MRP parameters for assigned products
Coordinates the scheduling of subassemblies, outside services to support production activities and the master production schedule
Monitors and communicates deficiencies within the supply chain
Creates daily shop floor schedules for each production areas
Communicates priorities and sequencing of materials and production within assigned products
Coordinates WIP activities
Works within the MRP system to ensure the accuracy of costs, lead times, and revisions
Maintains records as required by the Quality System
Works with development teams on program transitions from development to production
Maintains metrics for production and/or supplier
Able to work with minimal supervision on tasks encompassing buying and planning activities
Demonstrates proficiency in the basics of MRP and the production scheduling process
Is proficient in systematic transactions as related to the planning function
Knows to whom and where to communicate deficiencies within the supply chain, both internally and externally
Communicates in a professional manner with suppliers and outside personnel both directly and indirectly, always conscious of the company’s interest
Able to review MRP releases and determine priorities and sequencing to support production schedules
Demonstrates proficiency in manufacturing processes and documentation, and sufficient understanding of manufacturing logistics to assist in strategic decisions within Operations
Demonstrates ability to work and communicate in a cross-functional environment including Marketing, Quality, Manufacturing and Regulatory departments
Demonstrates the ability to plan and track tasks to align with master production plan and team objectives
Can act as a back-up to the Master Production scheduler

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience
1 – 5 years of experience in a comparable position
ERP / MRP system software experience
Experience with data analytics tools like Tableau and PowerBI is preferred
Good organizational skills
Effective communication skills
Data analysis experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Computer/data entry skills
Strong negotiation skills
Problem solving and troubleshooting experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Great Plains preferred
Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry experience, as well as Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls preferred
Report writing experience
