This role ensures efficient warehouse operations by maintaining accurate records, coordinating shipments, and supporting inventory and receiving processes. The Logistics Clerk helps maintain chain accuracy and product availability across the organization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Receiving Goods:
  • Receiving incoming shipments, unload materials, and verify contents against purchase orders or packing lists.
  • Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
  • Accurately log received items into the inventory management system.
  • Coordinate with procurement and quality teams to resolve receiving issues.
  • Label and store items in appropriate warehouse locations following company procedures.
Logistics and Shipping Coordination:
  • Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and labels.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Track orders and update delivery status in the system.
  • Communicate with vendors and logistics providers to resolve transportation issues.
Inventory Management
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Record, reconcile, and investigate discrepancies in inventory levels.
  • Maintain proper inventory documentation and update records in inventory management systems.
  • Support inventory optimization by monitoring stock levels and recommending reorders or disposals.
Warehouse support:
  • Assist with picking, packing, labeling, and organizing products for storage and distribution.
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in warehouse areas.
  • Follow established procedures for material handling and equipment usage.
Data Entry and Reporting:
  • Enter logistics data into systems accurately and timely.
  • Generate and distribute inventory and shipments reports.
  • Support audits and compliance activities related to logistics and inventory control.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required: Associate degree in logistics or supply chain preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory management role.
  • Familiarity with inventory and warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage)
  • Strong attention to detail with good organization and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and email.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials weighing between 10 to 50 lbs. and operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift, sit/stand up) if certified.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is performed in a combination of an office environment and working outdoors. As part of the scope of this role minimal duties may include being inside the plant manufacturing environment, which may include high levels of noise. When working outdoors, conditions can include extreme cold, heat, or humidity; and sometimes work in dusty conditions.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
