
Seed Laboratory Supervisor

- Experience in leading and instructing laboratory personnel in day-to-day work, human resource issues, and training of new employees and current employees.
- Knowledge of data collection and management for seed analyses, laboratory equipment maintenance & calibration, and quality checks and assurances as it relates to laboratory processes, along with a general knowledge of state seed laws and regulations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with seed producers, seed dealers, and the public in written and verbal communications as well with laboratory staff, field staff, and upper management.
- AOSA Certified in both purity and germination, either a CSA or the equivalent or the ability to obtain this certification within the first twelve months of employment.
- Associate's degree in horticulture, botany, crop science, agriculture, or a closely related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in seed testing, seed regulation or a related area of seed production or marketing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
