In this role you will need the technical ability to understand complex system requests combined the functional ability to discuss with non-technical stakeholders. You are well organized, a problem-solver, pro-active, and have an understanding of people programs such as onboarding and offboarding, performance management, payroll, time and attendance, recruiting and benefits. - Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday modules, system security setup, and reporting enhancements
- Lead Workday Extend application design, development, deployment, and ongoing support, ensuring high-quality user experience and security
- Partner with People, Finance, Operations and Engineering teams to gather requirements, design end-to-end workflows, and drive cross-functional system alignment
- Perform ongoing Workday system maintenance, audits, and upgrades; ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies
- Lead periodic reviews, control testing, remediation, and continuous monitoring of ITGC controls to identify and mitigate risks
- Ability to build and troubleshoot Workday integrations across domains such as payroll, compensation, performance, benefits, and case management using EIB, Studio, Cloud Connect, RaaS, SOAP/REST APIs, and Workday Orchestrate
- Evaluate and implement AI and automation tools that enhance the employee experience and drive operational efficiency.
- Educate stakeholders on emerging AI capabilities and how they can be leveraged across the employee lifecycle
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional technology projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and test cases
- Act as a trusted partner and advisor to HR stakeholders
- Oversee third-party consultants and partner with them to drive projects forward
- 5+ years of experience in HRIS or People Technology roles, with deep hands-on expertise in Workday configuration and testing methodologies.
- 3+ years of experience in Benefits, Payroll, and/or Advanced Compensation.
- Experience with Workday Extend, Integrations and/or Security preferred.
- Proven experience implementing or supporting AI tools or intelligent automation within HR or enterprise systems.
- Experience with tools like Jira or other ticketing systems.
- Workday certifications (e.g., Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, Reporting) preferred.
- Experience with tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or other LLM-based HR applications preferred.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Workday Studio, EIBs, RPA platforms).
- Strong understanding of security practices, regulatory compliance, and audit lifecycle (e.g., SOX, HIPAA or PCI).
- Experience working with third-party Workday consulting agencies.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, system security, and governance best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely.
