MON-THURS 10 HOURS 7:00am-5:30pm (FRIDAY - IF BUSINESS NEED)Pay: $28.00 p/h (NOT ELIGIBLE FOR BENEFITS - CONTINGENT WORKER)A Mobile Shred Operator is the public face of Iron Mountain, trusted to transport and handle client materials and engage with clients and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner. This important team member drives a company Mobile Shred Vehicle, transporting materials from client and Iron Mountain locations. A Mobile Shred Operator loads and unloads with a variety of mechanisms, uses wireless scanning technology, prepares paperwork and performs daily maintenance on the Mobile Shred Vehicle to ensure its efficient operation. This position calls for a significant degree of strength and stamina. We pay by the hour, not the mile.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate and maintain company CDL vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Load, transport, and drive without assistance
  • Deliver timely customer orders and prepare accurate paperwork and records
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid CLASS B CDL Driver’s license with airbrake endorsement.
  • Must have a good driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening, a background check, and a DOT physical
  • Demonstrate safe/efficient driving skills
  • Computer and handheld device proficiency
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
  • Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Can adhere to and enforce all security procedures
  • Current experience in customer service or a service industry
  • Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry containers over, up, and down inclines, stairs, and varying walking surfaces/elevations
  • Lift at least 75 pounds
  • Walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time
  • Two or more years’ route transportation experience preferred
