With a predominantly female team and strong core values centered around women's health advocacy, they foster an environment of proactive communication and independent problem-solving.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Intellectual Property (IP) Specialist who will serve as the frontline defender of our client's brand integrity and intellectual property assets. This role requires someone who can "own this thing and take it personally" when IP violations arise, combining strategic thinking with rapid response capabilities. The successful candidate will manage comprehensive IP protection strategies while responding to infringement issues within 24-48 hours to match the speed of counterfeit operations.The ideal candidate will work independently with minimal legal oversight, making critical judgment calls while collaborating closely with the General Counsel and Head of Business Operations. This position offers the opportunity to build and implement IP protection systems from the ground up, directly impacting the company's brand protection efforts across multiple channels and international markets.You'll be working with cross-functional teams including product development to identify protectable elements in new launches, while maintaining organized documentation of all IP assets and enforcement actions. This role is perfect for someone passionate about brand protection and interested in the intersection of legal compliance and business operations.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage Red Points software system and coordinate takedown processes for counterfeit products and brand abuse
  • Conduct manual monitoring of channels not covered by automated systems, particularly Google Shopping and standalone websites
  • Monitor and respond to IP infringements across marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, DH Gate, Alibaba) and social media platforms
  • Flag suspected factory violations to General Counsel for coordination with international IP counsel
  • Respond to IP violations within 24-48 hours of detection
  • Develop comprehensive IP strategies for patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade dress domestically and internationally
  • Implement customized IP protection plans independently and with General Counsel
  • File and manage patent and copyright applications to create defensive IP barriers
