  • Manage logistics for events requiring FMS services. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Strategize and coordinate all aspects of event requirements with customers. This includes attending all planning sessions and requesting stakeouts as needed.
  • Coordinate requests for vendor services-rentals, golf carts, and parking
  • Site logistics, vendor relations and onsite supervision of students.
  • Process billings and invoicing.
  • Flexible work schedule for large university wide events that require all events staff personnel to be available to coordinate FMS services.
  • Schedule staff to support the events. This includes but is not limited to the following duties:
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and supervising of the students.
  • Assist as an Event Management System (EMS) subject matter expert for FMS services. This includes:
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities for Special Events within EMS.
  • Assisting in test and maintain functionality of EMS workflow process and how it interfaces with other departments
  • Identifying any problems with EMS processes
  • Learning how to navigate and use new features
  • Assisting FMS Events Manager in collecting and analyzing performance data associated with special events including costs, labor hours, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide input to FMS Events Manager for action plans for improved productivity, quality, and customer service standards related to special events.
  • Provide backup coverage for the FMS Event Manager and other Event Coordinators as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Associates degree in project management, business, or equivalent field.
  • 5 years of experience in a project management, events coordinator, project coordinator, or equivalent role.

  • Ability to prioritize work and a strong commitment to teamwork are key.
  • Must work independently with minimal supervision and exercise professional judgment in carrying out all assigned responsibilities.
