DescriptionGEOAxIS is looking for a Technical Lead to work with the technical leadership team to help drive program technical execution, innovation and modernization.The GEOAxIS system provides Identity, Credential and Access Management for all web applications. GEOAxIS enables online, on-demand, access to NGA GEOINT content based on user’s authoritative attributes/roles. Our Mission is to maintain highly available ICAM services for protecting those critical mission applications across all security domains. Under the GxNext contract awarded to Leidos in 2021, our mission is to maintain resilient and scalable ICAM services through 2031.Primary ResponsibilitiesSuggest technical improvements and enhancements to the GEOAxIS architectureContribute to strategic design initiatives that drive long-term technical innovationCollaborate with external stakeholders to address mission-critical needsProvide hands on implementation assistance to development and operational teamsAssist in leading design efforts for integrating new ICAM technologies and servicesMinimize technical debt via automation and DevOps best practicesIncrease GEOAxIS availability and observabilityBasic QualificationsBachelors degree in STEM field with 4+ years, OR Associates degree with 6+ years of experience in Software Development, DevOps, or Systems EngineeringActive TS/SCI with ability to obtain a Polygraph1 Year of DevOps experienceExperience in at least one of the following languages: Bash, Python, Java, NodeJSSecurity+ certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hireExceptional communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiencesStrong interpersonal skills and proven track record of leading technical teams, conveying technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiencesCandidate must be able to physically be in Chantilly, VA a minimum of 4 days a week to work with the team with occasional meetings in Reston and/or Springfield, VAAll candidates must be US CITIZENS to be considered for the positionPreferred Qualifications1+ year of experience in ICAM systemsExperience designing/supporting RESTful or SOAP servicesHands-on knowledge of container technologies and orchestration platforms (Rancher RKE2, OpenShift)Experience containerizing legacy software systemsFamiliarity with DevOps tools: Ansible, ArgoCD, GitLab, Nexus3, KubernetesRelevant certifications: RHCSA/RHCE, AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKADStrong background in Linux system administrationCome break things (in a good way).
