- Understand how to perform financial analysis and attain expected store sales, profits, and margins.
- Assist in protecting company assets at all times by ensuring bank deposit is completed in timely manner on a daily basis; accurately posting markups/downs, store use of merchandise, voids and write offs within established guidelines; controls the inventory in the store and completes necessary counts; investigates all sales, cash or operating discrepancies and reports findings to management in a timely manner.
- Following completion of all training, should be able to perform all duties of a Store Manager.
- Maintain regular attendance and follow designated safety practices.
- Perform other duties not listed as required.
- Immediately contact TM or Human Resources when employee or customer injury occurs on Company property.
- Interact with vendors ordering, placing displays, negotiating promotions, and building a sound working relationship.
- Advise Store Manager of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance.
- Report all accidents, maintenance issues and customer incidents to Store Manager immediately and complete proper paperwork and communicate through logbook.
- Meet all customer needs as efficiently and effectively as possible by providing superior customer service.
- Follow up on all customer requests, complaints, or suggestions.
- Complete CDP certification requirements for a C-Store Manager within required timeframe.
- Adhere to policies and procedures defined by Company policy.
- Attend and participates in safety meetings.
- Work diligently to correct safety deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Investigate all work-related and/or customer injury/property damage accidents, identifying the conditions responsible and corrective action needed.
- Complete safety training required for this position.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Inform Supervisor or Manager of unsafe conditions and behaviors and recommend how to correct or eliminate them.
- Report all work-related injuries immediately.
- Cooperate with the medical provider and follow the treatment plan and Return-to-Work Program.
- Work to avoid preventable accidents.
- Adhere to all city, county and state regulations including but not limited to the sale of age-restricted products.
- Familiarize self with Company Policy Manual, bulletins, memos, and other publications.
