As we continue our global expansion, we are looking for talented individuals to join our team.POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for conducting product evaluation tests of units or components as part of the Engineering Research and Development Group. Independently performs tests on parts, components and or units to ensure that they meet engineering design intent.COMPETENCIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. - Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years experience in product testing and evaluation
- Equivalent degree and experience in product test and evaluation
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Project
- Knowledgeable in creation of spreadsheets
- Competence in solving complex engineering problems by a variety of tools.
- Knowledgeable in 2-d CAD, Draft Sight or AutoCad preferred
- Basic Knowledge in the use of 3-d modeling, SolidWorks preferred
- Basic Knowledge in the use of data acquisition equipment, Dataq and National Instruments preferred
- Basic Knowledge in the use of PLM, SmarTeam preferred
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills and listening skills that allow being able to work with people in all levels of the organization and external customers
- Ability to coordinate the testing and development of new products with different departments and subsidiaries of the company.
- Sound knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria
- Ability to analyze and solve problems appropriately,

- Travel required for customer and Twin Disc entity visits both domestically and abroad
- Solid understanding of the fundamentals of physics, hydrodynamics, power transmission and mechanism as applicable to product research and development
- Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles
- Strong organizational, time management and people skills
- Conduct product evaluation tests prescribed by the engineering design of the unit.
- Conduct component tests. Testing is usually done in TDI laboratories although it may occasionally be in the field or at customer locations.
- Gather and analyze data, and write test reports to report results, working closely with engineering staff to highlight the desired information or isolate specific data.
- Conduct destructive and other types of “run” or cycling tests to analyze durability and dependability of products.
- Prepare numerous reports of findings derived from tests.
- Develop and maintain engineering competence and an awareness of the current developments and practices through study and participation in professional activities.
