The OpportunityConsor is currently seeking a self-motivated Professional Engineer located in Oregon, Washington, California, Colorado or Idaho. We are looking for a candidate that can leverage our existing technical abilities but also offer new ideas for innovation.Yearly Salary Range $110,000-140,000+ / yearEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for analyzing water distribution systems in support of on-call requests, engineering reports, master planning projects, and support for preliminary and final designs. You will be involved with and responsible for a wide variety of interesting assignments, including:
  • Managing projects, tasks, and leading small multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Working directly with public works staff and delivering exceptional client service
  • Writing technical memorandums, engineering reports, and planning studies
  • Identifying and leading business development efforts in water system planning
Required Credentials
  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering from an accredited school
  • Licensed as a professional engineer in one of the states in which we operate including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and/or California, or the ability to obtain by reciprocity upon employment
  • 8 + years of relevant experience in water distribution and/or sewer collection system modeling
  • Proven ability to manage internal staff as well as sub-consultant teams
  • Strong background in closed conduit, open channel hydraulics, and pump station operations
  • Proven technical report writing skills
  • Ability to utilize GIS for analysis, model integration, and figure generation
  • Working knowledge of modeling software (EPASWMM, EPANET, SWMM, InfoWater, InfoSWMM, WaterCAD/GEMs, SewerCAD/GEMs, etc.)
