- Deliver Outstanding Guest Experiences: Create engaging, memorable experiences by recognizing and reacting to guests’ needs and providing excellent service.
- Ensure Quality Control: Maintain high standards by inspecting, rotating, and replenishing deli products, ensuring proper temperatures are met for all items on display.
- Fulfill Guest Orders: Take and execute special orders, including preparation and assembly of meal trays and step-by-step dinners, following recipes and tray building procedures.
- Maintain Freshness and Accuracy: Monitor product dates, freshness, and shrinkage, ensuring that all products are dated and initialed appropriately.
- Support Cleanliness and Safety: Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the department by organizing, cleaning, and sanitizing work areas, shelves, and sales floors as needed. Maintain food safety logs in accordance with company policies.
- Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
- Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.
- Food Safety Certification: Must be, or be willing to become food safe certified with a strong understanding of safety protocols, including knowledge of equipment handling such as slicers, mixers, and ovens.
- Team-Oriented Attitude: Ability to work cooperatively with others, fostering a positive and efficient team dynamic to achieve department goals and provide exceptional service.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both guests and team members in a fast-paced and diverse environment.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality and accuracy in product rotation, inventory management, and following detailed recipes to ensure high standards are met.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address guest concerns with tact and professionalism, resolving any issues quickly and efficiently to maintain guest satisfaction.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing needs and tasks within the kitchen, showing a proactive approach to responsibilities and challenges.
- Knowledge of Food Production: Understanding of perishable department operations and experience in handling kitchen-made items with the ability to maintain freshness and quality.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring all daily responsibilities are completed on time while meeting production and quality goals.
- Standing for a long period of time, bending, stooping, and kneeling regularly.
- Full range of upper body motion.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.

- Weekly Pay & Premium Pay: Hourly associates are paid weekly, providing more frequent access to their funds. Part-time store associates are paid a $1 premium per hour on Sundays and select holidays. Hourly full-time store associates receive time and a half on Sundays and select holidays.
