A perfect fit for individuals who want the freedom to travel but believe in our mission, StaffFlex provides team members the opportunity to work across various units!Schedule: 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM / 06:45AM - 05:15PMShift: Days (Five 8 hour shifts or four 10 hour shifts)On Call: 6-8 call shifts per six week scheduleLocation: AdventHealth LittletonThe role youll contribute:The surgical technologist actively participates in the preparation and management of supply inventories, surgical equipment, operating room suite readiness and clinical/technical assistance as directed while performing operative and invasive procedures. This position requires knowledge of surgical instrumentation, the ability to prepare and or assemble complex mechanical devices, sequential planning, and knowledge of fundamental anatomy, strong anticipatory skills and dexterity. This position is also responsible to keep abreast of new products, procedures and physician techniques. The surgical technologist supports Surgical, CVOR and GI services to provide an effective and safe patient/staff environment. All activities associated with the role of the surgical technologist are under the direct supervision of the perioperative registered nurse and operating surgeon.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensures operating room is sterileConducts field preparation and maintenanceConducts instrument counts prior to surgical proceduresAssists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patientsProvides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phasesCollects and labels specimens obtained during surgical proceduresMinimum qualifications:2 years of relevant CST experienceHigh school graduate or equivalentSuccessful completion of an accredited school for Surgical Technology requiredCertification as Surgical Technician requiredBLS Required This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
