Position SummaryThe Director of Finance & Accounting will oversee all financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, and financial analysis for the company. This is a key leadership role requiring both strategic insight and the ability to execute tactically within a lean team environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience in multi-unit operations, and the ability to partner closely with operations and executive leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial statement preparationOversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple locations or business unitsEnsure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls and audit readinessDevelop and manage KPIs and operational dashboards to support financial visibility and decision-makingPartner with the CFO/CEO and other senior leaders on strategic initiatives, growth planning, and capital projectsManage cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, and treasury functionsSupervise and develop a lean finance/accounting team including AP, AR, and payrollOversee tax compliance and coordinate with external tax and audit partnersEvaluate and implement systems, tools, and process improvements to support scaling the businessSupport M&A activity and integration, if applicableQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance rolesPrior experience in automotive services, multi-unit retail, franchise, or field service-based businesses strongly preferredDeep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and operational accountingHands-on leadership style with a track record of managing small teams effectivelyStrong Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.)Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environmentPowered by JazzHR
