Associate Director, Congress and Peer-to-Peer Marketing

- Lead cross-functional planning and execution of congress strategy across major U.S. nephrology meetings including booth design, logistics, KEE engagement, and on-site activation
- Work closely with Congress operations on contracting and advise on sponsorship deliverables, partnering with vendors and legal to ensure compliant execution
- Manage the peer-to-peer HCP engagement channel, including speaker bureau operations, development of speaker bureau slide deck(s) for use in P2P programming, field training, and pull-through strategy
- Develop HCP derivative materials (e.g., leave-behinds, digital assets, field slide decks), aligned to approved messaging and brand strategy
- Collaborate with the HCP Strategy Lead and Regional Marketing Director Lead on third-party programming, including symposia, satellite events, and collaborative education
- Act as primary point of contact for external agencies and congress vendors, ensuring high-quality execution and brand consistency, the AD will manage budget, timelines and MLR submissions as part of this agency work
- Advise on internal congress planning processes including timeline tracking, post-congress debriefs, and relevant field communications
- Own MLR submission and review processes for assigned materials, partnering closely with Regulatory, Legal, and Medical Affairs to ensure timely approval and compliance
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, MPH) preferred
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical marketing or field experience, including direct responsibility for congress execution and HCP engagement
- Proven experience managing MLR processes, including submission, annotation, and navigation of regulatory/legal review
- Deep understanding of peer-to-peer program execution, speaker bureau operations, and third-party scientific programming
- Clear understanding of compliance and regulatory landscape in pharmaceutical marketing, especially within the highly regulated area of peer-to-peer programming
- Strong capability in developing and managing promotional materials for field use
- Experience managing congress booth logistics, contracting, and cross-functional coordination
- Familiarity with FDA promotional guidelines and OPDP expectations
- Resourceful, solutions-oriented, and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment
- Preferred experience in accelerated approval launches and familiarity with Subpart H requirements
