- Developing and executing a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the company's customer base.
- Manage a lead a matrixed team of sales / marketing - directors, managers, and individual contributors. Build culture, collaboration and a team based setting.
- Build and lead marketing strategy to help generate brand awareness leas and more.
- Manage company P&L, financials, forecasting and budgeting.
- Work cross functionally across all teams.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Partnering with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Effectively communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
- Reporting on sales activity and forecast to senior management.
- Identifying emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- Building and leading a high-performing sales team.
- Understanding category-specific landscapes and trends in the Life Science industry.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of technical sales leadership experience.
- Experience in photonics, lighting, or physical hardware sale is a must.
- Prior experience managing $20-50M and a team of 15-20 people.
- A proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
- Previous experience in both sales and marketing leadership.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise selling across multiple different industries.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
- A competitive salary range of $160-230k base salary, commensurate with experience.
- Variable compensation ~$70-100k
