- Press Operation & Maintenance: Set up, operate, and maintain web printing presses, ensuring proper alignment, efficient operation, and consistent print quality. Utilize all available process control functions to monitor and adjust press settings as necessary.
- Leadership & Supervision: Direct and manage the efforts of the helper assigned to the shift, providing guidance, training, and mentorship. Ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and in alignment with production goals.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve printing-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. Take corrective actions to ensure optimal press performance and quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve processes to maximize production output, minimize waste, and enhance overall efficiency. Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements as necessary.
- Scheduling & Workflow Management: Review and adhere to production schedules, ensuring timely completion of jobs. Recommend adjustments to workflows when necessary to improve efficiency and meet deadlines.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Follow job ticket instructions to meet customer specifications and ensure the production of high-quality printed materials. Conduct regular quality checks and make adjustments to maintain consistency.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete work center time sheets by shift end, documenting production metrics and any issues encountered during the shift. Maintain detailed records of press settings, maintenance, and production activities.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Demonstrate a commitment to working in a safe and smart manner, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the production team and company objectives.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in web printing or a related field.
- Strong technical proficiency with web printing press equipment and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with experience directing subordinates or a crew.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and management.
- Moderate to advanced computer skills, with the ability to learn new software as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively under minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Aptitude for continuous learning and improvement.
- Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (sponsorship is not available).
