i.e.SmartSystems is looking for an experienced Access Control Service Technician to join our expanding team. If you're looking to join a growing, industry leading company working to deliver cutting edge security solutions, then come work with us!DescriptionResponsibilities include, but not limited to, performing installation, startup and closeout of small projects, service and repair and support to customers, and provide troubleshooting and the technical expertise required to keep security programs and systems operational.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install and service security related infrastructure- including access control and surveillance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair physical security equipment.
  • Assist in commissioning and startup of new systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Provide emergency and warranty service as required.
  • Communicate with customers on job status or completion (installation or service).
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Complete and turn in all required paperwork in a timely manner according to established procedures and deadlines, i.e., time sheets, expense reports, change orders, equipment transfers, etc.
  • Maintain and control assigned truck stock inventory in an organized manner.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 2 years security/access control experience.
  • Ability to install, operate, and service security equipment and systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of security procedures related to surveillance and access control equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend security systems drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
  • Manufacturer certifications is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Brivo, Eagle Eye, Lenel, Open Options, Software House, Avigilon, Hanwa, and Wave preferred.
  • Ability to program a plus.
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and collaborate with all levels.
  • Possess a positive attitude with exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
  • Clear and professional communication skills both written and orally.
  • Clear driving record and provide proof of insurance.
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • OSHA 10 and Texas Security License required.
