Our client, a top 100 engineering design firm, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a focus on airport-related expertise in civil engineering design and project management for their clients. The ideal candidate may also have some supervisory task experience, along with road and highway design experience.   • Develop contract documentation, including plans, specs, resource needs, and cost estimation.
  • Provide project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze surveys, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, and additional geologic and topographical data for planning projects.
  • Prepare construction designs, drawings, and technical specifications, including design computations.
  • Maintain and improve quality control standards, organizational processes, and manage project-related meetings.
  • Build relationships and coordinate activities with subcontractors and in-house support staff.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Skills and knowledge of tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer, and/or MicroStation and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detailed expertise in construction cost estimating
  • Technical specification writing experience and task management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Four or more years of civil design experience and a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA Advisory Orders, Circulars, and Engineering Briefs is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) is preferred.
  • Project Management such as scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
