- Thorough daily inspection of truck and trailer including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
- Load and Unload material and equipment to be transported. Securing load with straps and/or chains to ensure safe delivery.
- Timely delivery of material and equipment in a timely manner.
- Maintain company ELOG system as directed by State mandate.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including oil/filter changes, taking oil samples, etc.
- Diagnose & repair heavy construction equipment, such as excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, etc.
- Deliver fuel & daily consumables to heavy equipment daily, including DEF fluid, bucket teeth, cleaning supplies, etc. to ensure that equipment is ready for use each day.
- Performs daily maintenance checks on heavy equipment, including fluid checks, grease/lube points, and inspections to avoid unnecessary down time.
- Perform safety inspections on equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment (service truck).
- Meet all company, governmental, and equipment-specific safety requirements.
- Must be able to pass DOT physical and must have knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Performs minor repairs to small equipment such as pumps and generator etc.
- Completes paperwork associated with repairing equipment, documenting parts usage, and accounting for applied times (i.e., work order times versus timecard times).
- Completes daily consumables report to record hours, fuel, and oil usage, and provides information for input.
- This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes.
- All other tasks as assigned.
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other applicable health and safety standards.
- Possess a CDL Class A with Hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements and a clean driving record.
- Certificate from college or technical school, or 12 months of experience or combination of both.
- Customer Service – Acts in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers and coworkers. Within reason, does what it takes to meet and exceed expectations of customers.
- Dependability – Follows through and does what he/she says he/she will do. Shows up for work on time and adheres to the established work schedule.
- Required to travel to various jobsites some overnight travel maybe required.
- Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to, dust mask, earplugs, gloves, hardhat, respirator, safety glasses, work boots, and safety vest. Hand tools including, but not limited to, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrenches, and other tools.
- Lift, carry, and push/pull heavy item and/or equipment up to 100lbs occasionally, greater than 50lbs often, up to 50lbs frequently.
- Climb into and out of equipment.
- Ability to work in heat or cold, work outside, and work in high elevations.
- Shop and field environments including, but not limited to, machines, tools, construction equipment, chemicals, solvents, dust, and fumes.
- Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
- Work in hot, cold, dusty, or wet environments.
