- Develop and lead quality engineer's analytics process, including the core analytics, product & process improvements, and strategic data architecture investments.
- Grow, develop, and lead a small team of quality engineers who will develop and deliver the analytics capability which can be used to coached engineers as well as be used to solve complex problems and support our development teams.
- Work cross-functionally to define and execute the analytic capabilities and roadmaps to meet our internal and customer quality requirements.
- Develop and maintain analytics documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality requirements
- Lead large, complex data improvement projects driving root cause analysis using various problem-solving tools and methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, statistical interaction analysis, data pattern recognition analysis, learning models, risk based processes, simulation modeling, etc).
- Lead product health data analysis and improvement activities with partner engineers for impact.
- Ability to analyze data and generate insights for scaling quality management processes and quality improvements across hardware products.
- Design, build, and improve non-conformance management software systems to effectively capture, track, and resolve quality issues.
- Analyze data and develop insights to scale quality management processes across hardware products.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field
- Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality in aircraft product making and complex production process management.
- Experience in growing & developing teams and managing resources in a technical, data rich environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of quality management practices for aviation/aircraft systems, PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration, composites/control surfaces, propulsion systems, and lethality systems.
- Experience in creating and maintaining production quality reporting systems to provide accurate and actionable insights into product performance and quality metrics.
- Experience partnering with Deployment, Manufacturing Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Chief Engineers, Architects, responsible engineers, and customer facing team members to analyze, prepare, and present CAPA findings to defense customers.
- Working knowledge of product development methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) elements such as Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- A strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to completion.
- Proficiency in database management, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and data modeling
- Analytical skills and experiences for data mining, data quality, metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical analysis tools (MatLab, JMP, MiniTab, etc).
- Proficiency in data analysis and the use of data visualization tools such as Foundry, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to create clear and actionable visualizations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance
- Master's degree in a technical field
- 5-7 years of experience with developing quality systems for low volume, high complex manufacturing environments and suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of CAPA & data processes, quality management systems, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Experience with Teamcenter, SolidWorks/NX, Jira, Foundry, and manufacturing execution systems
