Keep reading.Brenton is seeking a talented Applications Engineer to contribute to our success by preparing and providing technical solutions and costing for customers for project inquiries.Brenton engineers and manufactures case packing equipment, shrink-wrapping machines, robotic packaging systems and material handling equipment for the food, personal care, and household products industries. Brenton offers innovative custom palletized packaging systems and is considered a leader in servo technology applications in the packaging industry.Are you passionate about this work?
  • Process and evaluate customer provided data related to sales inquiry to develop workable and cost-effective concept
  • Make recommendations for alternate designs if applicable
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to procure quotations for equipment to be sourced for the application
  • Gather cost data from several sources and equipment vendors to create accurate application costing
  • Participate in pre-sale design reviews and customer sales presentations with Sales Representatives (Up to 5% travel possible)
  • Communicate with Inside and Outside Sales, customers and prospects to provide technical information necessary to obtain orders.
  • Assist in the new order process, which includes order kickoff, concept reviews, design reviews and post shipment reviews
  • Lead customer meetings/presentations on your developing or completed concept
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor

  • Bachelor's or Technical Degree in Engineering preferred
  • 3-5 Years in Technical Sales, Project Engineering, Project Management or similar preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • High level of aptitude in Electrical and Mechanical Design
  • Good organization and planning skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at the same time
  • Leadership skills, team player, time-line driven
  • Robotic systems experience a plus
  • Case Packer experience a plus
  • Inventor experience a plus
  • Previous experience in packaging industry highly desired
