Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be part of the production department supporting quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: MachinistLocation: Clare, MIWhat’s the Job?· Set up and use machine equipment including CNC, milling, boring, drilling, tapping, threading, and lathes.· Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists.· Read, interpret, and utilize blueprints.· Deburr parts and ensure quality checks have been done prior to sending parts to the next operation.· Verifies work using machinist measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, etc.· Maintain tight tolerances as required by engineering and customer specifications.What’s Needed?
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
or six months to 1 year related experience and/or training
Prior experience in CNC machine operation (milling, boring, drilling, tapping, threading and lathes) and programming of CNC machines
Experience with measuring tools (micrometer, caliper)
Blueprint reading experience
Forklift, overhead crane and hoist experience
