The Staff Digital Receiver Exciter Engineer will lead the development and design of the DREX (Digital Receiver Exciter) technology working toward advanced antenna backend solutions. This position will support our Remote Sensing Program (RSP) Business Unit, located in Baltimore, MD.Responsibilities include but not limited to:The candidate should demonstrate familiarity/technical ability in one or more of the following areas:Subsystem Control DesignSubsystem requirements (hardware and software) derivation, flow-down, and configurationSystems ArchitectureDocumentation experience, generating test procedures, test reports, RF requirements, data analysis, data presentationData ProcessingMeasurements and Data ReductionIntegrated subsystems including DREX and Antenna HardwareSubsystem integration, test, and system integrationConducting Test Readiness Reviews (TRR)Basic Qualification for Staff Digital Receiver Exciter Engineer:Must have a bachelor’s degree STEM degree or related discipline with 14 years of experience in the areas described in the job description. 9 years of experience with a master’s degree and/or 4 years of experience with a Ph.D.3+ years of experience with Receiver Exciter Technology, RF Performance Analysis and Digital Beam Forming3+ years of experience with RFICS/MMICS2+ years of experience leading teams up to 61 year of experience of FPGA/Digital Controls1 year of power knowledge / exposureExperience using RF test equipment (Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers)Ability to effectively present to leadership / customersAble to develop technical solutions to complex problemsMust have an Active Secret Clearance to be considered and have the ability to obtain and maintain and Active TS/SCI clearancePreferred Qualifications:Active TS/SCI security clearanceExperience using MATLABExperience using PythonSalary Range: $157,500.00 - $236,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
