You will work with Johnson Controls (JCI) platforms to integrate HVAC, fire, security, and energy systems, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and environmental control at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX.In this role, a typical day will include:Commission and Service BAS Systems: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Johnson Controls automation systems, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and compressor controls.Controls Engineering: Program and maintain automation controllers (PLC/PAC), sensors, actuators, and networked devices for HVAC and environmental systems.System Design & Integration: Design control systems integrating HVAC, fire, security, and low-voltage subsystems. Create and maintain as-built documentation, equipment schedules, and wiring diagrams.Energy Optimization: Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives through automation and controls upgrades.Validation & Compliance: Develop and implement IQ/OQ protocols for automation systems in regulated environments (cGMP, FDA).Campus-Wide Automation: Support centralized control of air conditioning, environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, pressure, particulate count), and energy distribution systems.IT & Networking Support: Administer Windows/Linux networks supporting automation systems.
