Hybrid - (3 days in office, 2 days remote)We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to join our growing team in Duluth, GA. Our client is looking for an accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong background in managing fixed assets. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate asset records, depreciation schedules, and compliance with company policies.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the fixed asset subledger, ensuring accuracy and timely recording of asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and retirements.
- Calculate and record monthly depreciation, including review of asset lives and salvage values.
- Reconcile fixed asset balances to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
- Assist with annual physical inventory and tagging of fixed assets.
- Support internal and external audit requests related to fixed assets.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable GAAP standards.
- Partner with operations and procurement to track capital expenditures and project progress.
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within the fixed asset function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (experience with NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle is a plus).
