New Graduates are welcome to applyImpact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking an MRI Technologist to fill an opening with a multi-specialty practice located in Bronx, New York.ResponsibilitiesPatient Screening:MRI technologists must screen patients for contraindications, such as metal implants or devices, that could be harmful or interfere with the MRI scan.Patient Education:They explain the MRI procedure to patients, answer questions, and address any concerns they may have, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed.Patient Positioning:MRI technologists carefully position patients on the MRI table according to established protocols, ensuring proper alignment for optimal image quality.Monitoring During Procedures:They closely monitor patients during the scan, looking for any signs of distress or adverse reactions and providing reassurance and support.Technical and Imaging Responsibilities:Equipment Operation:MRI technologists operate the MRI machine, adjusting parameters and settings to achieve the desired image quality.Image Acquisition:They acquire and record patient data, ensuring the images meet the required standards for diagnosis.Contrast Administration:In some cases, MRI technologists may administer contrast agents intravenously to enhance image clarity.Image Evaluation:They evaluate the quality of the images, ensuring they are clear and meet the specifications of the ordering physician.Equipment Maintenance:MRI technologists perform regular quality control checks on the equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the MRI machine is in good working order.Requirements
Must have an Associate or a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic technology, Radiology, or a related field
Must have a New York State License
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification is preferred
Any medical background (EMT, CMA, Medical Assistant) is preferred
