Under direct supervision assist other Optical Lab Techs in producing and providing eyewear to members in a timely manner, as established by departmental policies and guidelines.Essential Responsibilities:
- Production: Depending on department typical duties/tasks may include: deboxing, verification of lenses/frames, taping, blocking, deblocking, picking lenses/frames, stocking lenses/frames, backside coating, wash up lenses, tool picking, mail/shipping, answering phones, receiving stock, ordering stock, mounting and data processing. - Assist other lab personnel in duties as directed.
- Clean and maintain optical lab and equipment as directed.
- Develop skills in assigned department with the goal of gaining proficiency in a minimum of 8 different tasks to qualify for promotion to Lab Tech II.
