
Warehouse Assistant Team Leader

- Works to build a safety culture within the warehousing-distribution and PRS operations, which promotes team member wellbeing and develops a safety focus mindset.
- Develops a strategic vision for warehousing and distribution that continuously improves, while focusing on budgetary and fiscal responsibility.
- Provides exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
- Analyzes current and past inventory levels, forecasts future warehouse needs and strategically plans the warehousing requirements of the organization.
- Works with other organizational departments to determine the short-term and long-term warehouse requirements based on organizational growth and inventory levels and ensures the safe storage and movement of inventory and supplies.
- Creates functional tools and systems designed to gather, monitor and trend information used in making business decisions and ensures the accuracy of the data collected.
- Monitors and maintains warehouse inventory, product, equipment and supplies.
- Provides direct leadership and support to the Warehouse team as well as partnership and direction to the transportation team.
- Works with other organizational leaders to ensure team members are following DOT, OSHA, FMC and other regulatory and organizational regulations.
- Assists with the development of standards and procedures in support of the inbound/outbound process, salvage business and operations support for PRS, warehousing, distribution/logistics, and inventory management.
- Provides data assisting in the budget process for the warehouse and fleet by providing details and supporting data to plan year over year fiscal needs.
- Ensures that the Warehousing processes adhere to internal and external customer needs.
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or at least 5 years of experience in Warehousing/Distribution.
- Experience in OSHA and FMCSA regulatory guidelines involving forklift and tractor-trailer operations.
- Current forklift certification is preferred.
- Ability to operate machinery such as forklift and clamp truck.
- At least an intermediate level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with nonprofit organizations is preferred.
- Experience in process improvement.
- Experience in developing sales strategy to support revenue generation is preferred.
- Work is performed in warehouse conditions with extensive team member contact and frequent interruptions.
- Primary function requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a warehouse and distribution setting with temperatures ranging from 10-95 degrees Fahrenheit; to sit for prolonged periods of time or on your feet most of the day depending on needs; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, lift, carry, push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
- Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including use of a computer keyboard.
- Travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation.
- Verbally communicate to exchange information.
