- Prepare exam rooms and stock necessary medical supplies and equipment.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, record vital signs (e.g., weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature), and document information in the electronic medical record.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
- Provide patients with instructions as directed by providers and facilitate orders for labs, tests, and treatments.
- Ensure patient records are complete, including prior test results and reports.
- Perform phlebotomy, administer injections, and document care provided.
- Clean and maintain exam rooms and sterilize instruments according to protocol.
- Triage and route phone messages appropriately while maintaining professionalism.
- Maintain accurate logs (e.g., medication expiration dates, equipment temperatures).
- Uphold all infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality protocols.
- Greet and register patients and visitors courteously and professionally.
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
- Collect co-pays and communicate patient financial responsibilities clearly.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Maintain and organize patient records, ensuring confidentiality and completeness.
- Coordinate referrals and assist with gathering necessary documentation.
- Verify insurance eligibility and support billing or payment processes when needed.
- Conduct appointment reminder calls and coordinate scheduling with the clinical team.
- Answer and direct incoming calls appropriately; handle non-clinical patient inquiries.
- Maintain office supply inventory and contribute to a clean, organized front office.

- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical office or healthcare environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, EMR systems, and insurance verification processes preferred.
- Excellent multitasking abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to patient service and safety.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
