Overview:HVAC Service Technician opportunity with a highly reputable and stable non-union mechanical company in business over 50 years. They've a strong culture that values honesty, integrity, and teamwork.The position is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity in Cincinnati for a skilled HVAC technician with foundational experience who is eager to learn and grow.What You'll Do:
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial, institutional, and industrial HVAC systems, Roof Top Units (RTUs) 5-40 tons, split units, unit heaters, VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems, VAV (Variable Air Volume) boxes, and a limited commercial refrigeration equipment (walk-in coolers and freezers).
Assist with major component replacements and troubleshoot complex system issues.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system issues
Operate with a strong focus on safety, proper equipment use, and adherence to company protocols.
Apply basic automation controls knowledge to system operation.
Participate in a ride-along orientation program to acclimate to company procedures before being assigned a company service van.
What You'll Bring:
Experience: Direct experience with HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial equipment.
Certifications: Valid EPA certification (Type 1 and 2 required; Universal preferred). Certifications such as NATE or HVAC Excellence are highly valued but not mandatory.
Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Education: Preference for candidates with formal HVAC schooling.
Proficiency with hand and power tools, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong customer service mindset.
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
Comfortable with heavy physical work and various weather conditions
Location: This position is based out of Cincinnati. We are seeking qualified technicians who reside in surrounding communities, including:
Northern Kentucky: Dry Ridge, Covington, Florence, and Newport
Southern Ohio: Hillsboro, Georgetown, Batavia, and Milford
Dayton Area: Miamisburg, Springboro, Dayton
Ohio/Indiana line: Oxford, Eaton, and Harrison
Service routes are designed to be efficient and will be aligned with your home location.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with a ½ hour lunch. Overtime available but is not mandatory.Compensation: Competitive starting wage ranging from $26 to $38 per hour depending on experience.
