Job Title: Field Service Engineer Job DescriptionJoin a dynamic team of engineers dedicated to troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing lab automation systems. Your role will involve updating and calibrating new lab machines, addressing issues through a ticket queue, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve equipment problems. You will also participate in continuous improvement projects with engineering and production teams, document standard operating procedures, and manage equipment costs and project budgets. Additionally, you will prepare equipment for seasonal ramp-ups as part of a team.Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on lab automation systems.
Update and calibrate new lab equipment.
Work through ticket queues to troubleshoot and repair equipment, collaborating with internal teams as needed.
Complete continuous improvement projects with engineering and production teams.
Document all standard operating procedures, preventative maintenance activities, and safety logs.
Track equipment costs and manage project budgets.
Prepare equipment for seasonal ramp-ups with the team.
Essential Skills
Expertise in troubleshooting and preventative/corrective maintenance.
Experience with lab automation and mechanical aptitude.
Familiarity with sensor technology, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering.
Alternatively, 3 years of experience in troubleshooting automation equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Work EnvironmentThe role operates Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. While you will have a cubicle, you will frequently work on the floor or in the lab with equipment, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
