Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining processes for deploying large-scale software architectures. In this position, you will utilize tools such as Docker, GitLab, and Ansible to handle the configuration and deployment of software to test and production environments.KBR enables a strong path for growth by challenging engineers to seek knowledge outside their comfort zone. In this position, you will be given every opportunity to expand and apply your insight and knowledge to interesting and challenging problems.Responsibilities:
  • Deploy DevSecOps practices for automating the software engineering practices across multiple teams and projects.
  • Ensure we have solid, foundational processes in place. The design decisions you will make in this position will have a direct and lasting impact on the success of the entire software team and organization.
  • Drive modern software development practices across multiple, agile teams.
  • The DevOps Engineer will work directly with internal and external stakeholders to understand evolving requirements and identify key technologies and architecture design patterns used by the team.
  • Stand up multiple agile development teams and will oversee the instantiation of DevOps pipelines in both on-prem and cloud environments

Qualifications:Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years in software development, infrastructure design, or DevOps
  • Proven experience in a senior DevOps role, demonstrating leadership and innovation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong expertise in CI/CD tools, especially GitLab
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in containerization and orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure and GCP
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Must have an active Top Secret security clearance.
Desired:
  • 5+ years in software development in a classified working environment
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, or Kubernetes Administrator.
  • Experience with microservices architectures.
  • Experience with CI/CD on classified software development networks.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
