We are currently assisting our client, a private family office, with their search for a Nanny/Household Assistant.JOB SUMMARY:Purpose of role:We are looking for a warm, energetic, and reliable Nanny/Household Assistant. This role will primarily support the care and development of our infant and eventually toddler, while also assisting with light household tasks to keep our home organized and running smoothly.The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about childcare, adaptable to changing schedules, and open to traveling with the family and providing occasional overnight support.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist parents with daily routines, including:Meal preparation and feeding.Diaper and clothing changes.Bathing and hygiene.Nap and bedtime support.Engaging in playful, age-appropriate learning and development activities.Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of child- and family-related areas:Wash child's laundry and bedding.Tidy common spaces and clean up messes as needed.Organize and sanitize play areas.Make child's bed and put away clothes and toys.Load/unload dishwasher and manage kitchen clean-up.Run local errands such as mailing packages, picking up drycleaning and grocery and supply shopping.Provide basic pet care as needed (e.g., feeding, letting out dogs).Accompany the family on vacations to help care for the child and offer breaks to parentsOccasionally stay overnight at the family's home to care for the child and dogs during parents' overnight/weekend trips.Required Skills and Experience3-5 years' experience caring for infants and toddlers, including feeding, bathing, diapering, and managing nap/bedtime routines.Prior experience with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, tidying family spaces, and organizing children's items.Strong sense of cleanliness and order, with an eye for detail and initiative in keeping family spaces neat.Comfortable and experienced with overnight care.Formal training or degree in Education or Early Childhood Development preferred.Certification in Infant CPR and Basic First Aid required.CharacteristicsDemonstrates integrity.Highly energetic, fosters motivation, and cultivates a collaborative team environment.Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented with a keen awareness of organizational assets.Excellent verbal and written skills.Builds trust and strengthens cross-functional relationships.Dedicated, adaptable, and willing to go above and beyond to meet evolving team needs.Upholds a strong reputation, operates with complete integrity, and maintains a high level of professionalism.This position description is intended to provide a general overview of the expectations and responsibilities of this position and may not include all tasks that may be assigned. Although there are times remote work may be implemented, we thrive on connection and collaboration and therefore expect frequent in-person collaboration.Compensation & Benefits (for states requiring): Consistent with applicable pay transparency laws, the employer provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in the relevant location. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of things including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The starting pay for this position is between USD $40 - $45/hour. The employer also provides well-being programs including medical, dental and vision benefits, life insurance, and paid time-off.Location: Mercer Island, WAEligibility: Must be authorized to work in the US.
