This position is onsite.Join the Navy's Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) program and contribute to the evolution of warfighter readiness. We provide critical engineering and technical expertise for the U.S. Navy's premier Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) training capability. Our work involves seamlessly integrating live training with synthetic systems to create highly realistic and complex global training environments. We also drive the development of advanced representations for joint, theater, and national systems, and model new weapons technologies and emerging threats, ensuring our forces are prepared for any challenge.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:In-depth understanding of Active Directory (AD) Attributes, LDAP Queries, and PowerShell scripting for modifying AD configurationsBuilding and managing Windows Server environments to include configuring organizational units (OUs) and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to align with organizational requirements and security standardsConfiguring AD Server Roles such as Certificate Authorities (CAs), IIS, File/Print, and DNSLead the analysis, design, and implementation of Active Directory and Identity Management solutionsEvaluate the current AD environment, identify operational and technical challenges, and develop actionable solutions to address issuesProvide data for regulatory compliance and support auditsEnsure the security and integrity of the corporate Active Directory forestInteract and collaborate with customers, service managers, and operational support teams to design, test, and deploy security and/or automation solutions to meet business needsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members. Generate tailored guidance for trainingLead the evaluation of project requirements, analyzing the impact on the infrastructure, including equipment redundancy and capacity requirementsDevelop and maintain repeatable process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Ensure all systems are compliant with the necessary STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides), implementing them across environments to meet security requirementsPerform system administration of Endpoint Security System (ESS) / Host-Based Security System (HBSS) serversParticipate in on-call support rotations, handling critical system issues and resolving problems as they ariseAbility to travel CONUS/OCONUS as requiredMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in Windows system administration and management in an enterprise environmentCompTIA Security+ CertificationExperience with a combination of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022), Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), IIS, and Group PolicyExperience with a combination of PowerShell scripting, Active Directory, SCCM, HBSS, Windows Update Services (WSUS), and Exchange ServersAbility to implement and enforce security best practices and regulatory compliance requirementsExperience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentationsClearance Requirements:US Citizenship is required and an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCIPhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
