Marathon TS is seeking a Systems Administrator to support our federal client. As the Systems Administrator, your responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, general system administration tasks, remediating cybersecurity findings, assisting with Active Directory management, and troubleshooting issues. This role has 10% travel, and does not require a security clearance.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage emails, review alerts, and prioritize tasks.
- Day-to-Day: General system administration tasks include remediating cybersecurity findings, assisting with Active Directory management, and troubleshooting issues.
- SPLUNK: Create, maintain, and monitor SPLUNK dashboards and reports.
- Project Work: Deploy and upgrade new and existing systems and software.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Ensure data backups are up-to-date.
- Documentation: Follow strict configuration management standards and maintain system documentation.
- Training and Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Work within a Microsoft Azure cloud environment, testing software, remediations, and troubleshooting problems as they arise.
- On-call Support and Maintenance: Periodically, provide after-hours emergency support and perform scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Perform other tasks as directed.
- Bachelor's degree with three or more years of applicable experience or seven years of equivalent relevant experience.
- Current Security+ CE certification (preferred) or must be obtained within six months of the hire date.
- Experience working as a system administrator in a Microsoft Windows-based enterprise environment.
- Expertise working with Active Directory GPOs, preferably within a DoD environment.
- Working knowledge of SPLUNK, creating and maintaining SPLUNK reports and servers.
- Strong experience working with Security Implementation Technical Guide (STIG) Checklists using cybersecurity tools such as STIGviewer, Evaluate-STIG (EvalSTIG), and SCAP.
- Expertise in combing through logs, troubleshooting hardware/software problems at the component level.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
- Proficient in configuring servers and clients with out-of-the-box solutions.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively with little supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Stay informed about our proprietary and changing software technology.
- RHEL kernel-based Linux experience.
- Working knowledge of relational database applications, specifically Microsoft SQL, is a plus.
- Computer-Aided Dispatch experience is a plus.
- DoD Directive 8140 certifications are a plus.
