Description :Meritus Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Home Health team. In this role, you'll work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality care and help patients regain optimal physical function in the comfort of their homes. You'll collaborate closely with rehab team members, physicians, and caregivers to ensure continuity of care and successful patient outcomes.What You’ll DoDeliver direct patient care based on the therapist’s plan of careMonitor patient status and report changes requiring reassessmentAdminister treatment interventions and collect objective dataParticipate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary case conferencesTrain patients and caregivers on equipment and therapeutic techniquesMaintain accurate documentation and communicate progress to therapistsQualificationsAssociate of Arts degree from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant programMinimum 1 year of clinical experience (Home Health or Acute Hospital preferred)Maryland PTA licensureCurrent BLS (CPR) certificationValid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicleSkills & AbilitiesStrong problem-solving and critical thinkingExcellent time management and organizational skillsProficient in written and oral communicationAbility to use electronic medical records and point-of-care documentation systemsPhysical & Mental RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)Continuous attention to detail and task focusExposure to blood/body fluids and varying environmental conditionsCaring for Our TeamWe offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees' well-being and professional growth.
