The City and County of Denver’s (DPR) is looking to hire Seasonal Outdoor Pool Recreation Assistants to support operations at a select number of outdoor pools this summer. These seasonal roles will perform a variety of functions to support the day-to-day operations of a municipal outdoor pool. From clerical duties to customer service to facility work, this is great opportunity for individuals looking to make a direct impact in their community.As an Outdoor Pool Recreation Assistant, you will:Assist with front desk operations, which includes greeting customers, answering phone calls, and providing customers with membership and program informationComplete monetary transactions using the ActiveNet point-of-sale system including cash/check handling and credit card processing, issuing ID cards, delivering payment confirmations and receipts, and performing other monetary-related transactionsAssist with monitoring the day-to-day operations of an outdoor pool while supporting a safe environment for visitorsDeliver a high level of knowledgeable and friendly customer service to visitorsAssist with maintaining the cleanliness of an outdoor poolMaintain order amongst participants and spectators and aim to resolve disputes that may ariseAssist with emergency situations such as medical emergencies, evacuations, suspicious behavior and activity, or other unexpected situations, as necessaryAssist with the set up and take down of equipment for facility rentals, activities, and special eventsPerform other related duties, as assignedThe 2024 outdoor pool season begins on June 14 and will end August 11. These positions are expected to conclude at end of the season.
