The Admissions, Recruitment, and Outreach (ARO) department seeks motivated bilingual students! Learn business operations skills while supporting the newly launched Adult High School Diploma Program.The Admissions, Recruitment, and Outreach (ARO) department is responsible for the recruitment and on-boarding of admitted students to the Community College of Denver (CCD). Staff members serve as the initial points of contact for prospective students and support college entry through event preparation and support, outbound communications (e.g., email, phone, webinars, texts, etc.), addressing inbound inquiries (e.g., email, phone, texts, etc.), and data entry activities to track recruitment.Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with event planning and execution, setup and tear down.- Address inbound inquiries via phone/email/text (and delegated correspondence) in a timely manner.- Help students troubleshoot basic D2L (CCD Connect) and Navigate 360 issues.- Appropriately escalate student issues to Case Manager and/or Assistant Director.QualificationsInterpersonal communication (e.g., 1-on-1, face-to-face, group/public), digital communication (e.g., email/texting), data entry, attention to detail, proactive service-oriented attitude, friendly/welcoming personality, comfortable working independently and as a part of a team, and a curious mindset. Preference given to bilingual students fluent in English/Spanish or English/Arabic.Supplemental Information- Basic Interpersonal & Digital Communication Skills (e.g., ample opportunity for diverse interactions with different stakeholders and different settings)- Event Planning & Logistics Skills (e.g., help create and improve event programming, organize logistics, interact with contributing stakeholders, support event marketing/promotion, support event execution/management, etc.)- Business Process Improvement Skills (e.g., participate in weekly debriefs meant to improve user experience, etc.) - Arts, Communication, & Design / Business / Education / Social & Behavioral Sciences- The skills cited above along with the duties associated with organizational program/product launches are widely transferable to different professional settings and industries (e.g., startups, SMBs, Fortune 500s, etc.).
