Summary
The Therapy Clinic Coordinator is responsible for the overall operation of a specific therapy location. The Clinic Coordinator will also uphold to the responsibilities of the staff Physical or Occupational Therapist (see Staff Occupational or Physical Therapist job description for details).Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for monitoring and directing revenue and expenses, developing programs, assisting in recruiting staff and ensuring that quality patient care is being provided at a specific location.
Responsible for the day to day function of the clinic.
Oversees procedures, appropriate orientation and personnel training, and overall compliance standards and procedures at a specific location.
Responsible for the initiation and follow through of regular communication with staff and management.
Responsible for supervising, monitoring, and directing Therapists, Assistants, Rehab Aides, and students.
Performs all tasks described in the Staff Physical Therapist or Staff Occupational Therapist job description.
Responsible for the initiation and follow through of regular communication with appropriate medical staff, patients, team members, and management.
Responsible for the oversight and education of employees regarding appropriate documentation and coding practices.
Follows Orthopedics and Therapy's practice policies and processes related to compliance, safety, and infection control.
Performs necessary tasks as needed and assigned to ensure clinic and department compliance and satisfactory patient care.
Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor.
Assists the Precert and Office teams in identifying patients that require updated authorizations, referrals, and certified plans of care. Will complete required documentation timely to ensure patient continuity of care occurs in a proactive and timely manner.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Will be responsible for the supervision of Therapists, Therapist Assistants, Rehab Aides, and students. Will assist Office Coordinator in supervision of Office Staff as needed,Qualifications

Employees may be required to work flexible schedules and/or some weekends.Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree from an accredited Occupational or Physical Therapy school. Minimum of two years clinical experience required. Management experience preferred.Other Requirements: Current state Occupational or Physical Therapist license. Current BLS certification.Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word and MS Outlook. The Therapist will be required to learn and be proficient with the organization's EHR system to ensure efficient workflow and employee resource ability.Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
Knowledge of therapy principles, standards, and applications.
Knowledge of physical, biological, and behavioral sciences as well as application therapy equipment, devices, and patient-specific therapeutic devices.
Knowledge of clinic policies and regulations related to infection control, safety, and quality improvement.
Knowledge of basic clinic operations pertaining to scheduling, coding, and regulatory requirements.Skills:
Skill in evaluating and treating patients.
Skill in proper use of therapy equipment and devices.
Skill in assessing and recording patient activities and progress.
Skill in timely problem solving to assist in customer service or staffing issues.
Skill in problem solving and time management will be needed to ensure success with patient treatment and clinic leadership simultaneously.Abilities:
Ability to collaborate with patients, families, team members, and employers to modify workplace or home environment in line with patient's condition, including identification of environmental factors and hazards.
Ability to communicate with patients and families in caring and compassionate manner to encourage behavioral changes.
Ability to analyze patient data and behavior and modify treatment plan as appropriate.
