- Assist the store manager with the overall operation of the business unit.
- Keep a record of daily sales on the required forms or in a computer database.
- Make and record deposits at the end of each shift when needed or as assigned.
- Ensure the sales floor is stocked and all racks are appropriately marked and consistent in content and design.
- Ensure all donations are immediately removed from the front of the store, to include the sidewalk, and moved to the rear of the store for processing to ensure areas are safe for employees, customers, or volunteers.
- Prior to opening and closing, ensure the store is neat and clean. All racks should be neat and orderly, floor vacuumed, all counters/tables are wiped down and all departments are orderly.
- Ensure drawers are correctly counted, if assigned, and secured at closing. Make sure the alarm set and doors locked at closing.
- Helps to create an atmosphere of ongoing exceptional customer service to internal (coworkers, peers, volunteers) and external customers (donors, customers, and Spring Dell partners).
- Provides exceptional customer service to customers and resolves customer complaints.
- Models, monitors, and enforces compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintains the general appearance of store to company standards.
- Assists in the enforcement of store safety and security procedures and ensures safety procedures are enforced on an ongoing basis.
- Completes specific duties as assigned by retail manager.
