About the RoleTotal Wine & more is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to join our Technology team in our Bethesda, MD office. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting advanced enterprise network systems. You will be responsible for overseeing our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.You will
  • Champion network standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Spearhead the resolution of complex issues impacting the enterprise network.
  • Lead efforts to assess network performance metrics and optimize availability and throughput.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and system engineering teams on cross-functional initiatives and enterprise-wide technology roadmaps.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain network documentation including diagrams, runbooks, and change control records.
You will come with
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant certifications preferred: CCNA, CCNP, CMNO, CMNA, PCNSA, PCNSE (or equivalent experience).
  • 4-6 years of progressively responsible experience in network engineering roles, including design, implementation, and support of large-scale enterprise networks.
  • Deep technical knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to influence decisions across departments and negotiate technical and business trade-offs.
  • Proficient with tools like Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, and monitoring platforms.
